The See China Club is honored to announce its second public event of 2010: The First See China Club Advisors’ Meeting on Cultural Industries. The meeting will be held in Room 301, North 10 of Chaoyangmen North Street in Beijing from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., April 23 (Friday).

Topic of the meeting: Analysis of the international market demand and audience expectation of Chinese cultural products. Participants include senior executives from such leading PR companies, publishing houses and cultural magazines as Eldeman, Penguin Books and Time Out, and domestic gurus and entrepreneurs include senior executives from Poly performing arts agency, Global Times, Shengda Animation, etc.

The meeting wil tackle a few questions that will be of interest to many cross-culture professionals, for example:
1. What kind of cultural products (books, music, dance, theater, TV and films, animation and games, among others) are proven most successful among international audiences? And what are not?
2. What kind of marketing methods are most suitable for high quality Chinese cultural programs? How can we bring the best of Chinese culture to a wide audience in a cost-effective way?
3. How can we avoid bad communication, stereotype and increase transparency and understanding between the creative community of China and the world in the cultural sense?

As a small-sized close-door meeting, the See China Club Advisors’ Meeting will not be able to accomodate a lot of participants, however, if any of our readers happen to be in the creative or PR business and wish to register, we’ll still leave a few seats to you. And we’re always open to your constructive comments and suggestions on the above issues by email or comment. So far, a professor from southwest China has sent us the gist of his thoughts, which is also very helpful.

See China sincerely wishes that through such meetings, we’ll be able to inspire more people for our common goal of better communication, high quality arts. Please contact: seechina10@gmail.com or 13911053314 Jessica for details.
